Why not a home in Normandy — on the Côte d’Albâtre?

Plenty of buyers think about Normandy without ever hearing of its quieter chalk coast: the Côte d’Albâtre between Dieppe and Le Havre. Among small seaside communities and peaceful villages you’ll find a large stock of houses and apartments — renovated or ready for your ideas, as a main home or a holiday retreat — with demand still markedly lower than in Lower Normandy.

The region

Why the Côte d’Albâtre

The chalk coastline of the Côte d’Albâtre stretches for some 90 kilometres between Dieppe and Le Havre. Beyond its small coastal communities and villages, pastures and wide flax fields shape the Pays de Caux; ahead lie beaches, cliffs and little harbours. Norman stone and timber craftsmanship meets a light that has drawn painters since Monet.

Chalk cliffs far beyond Étretat

Most people know the white cliffs only from Étretat. Along our coast the chalk runs the whole way between Dieppe and Le Havre — grass-topped cliffs, wide shingle beaches and small idyllic coastal communities and villages nearby.

My CapiFrance profile

I find your house — and I’m still there afterwards.

“Call me and tell me what you are looking for — and I will take care of it.”

I’m Gordon Langmann, German, and I live in La Chapelle-sur-Dun on the Côte d’Albâtre, three kilometres from the sea, between Dieppe and Fécamp. For over fifteen years I have looked after international customers in the technology sector — many stakeholders, several countries and large sums at stake, along with technical, legal and tax questions that I solved together with my clients. Architecture, renovation and property have occupied me for more than twenty years, and I know the practice first-hand: I have bought, renovated and resold houses myself, and I let holiday homes. I speak your language and the language of the agents, notaires and tradespeople here. That is why my work does not end at the key handover: if there is still something to do on your house, I will gladly make sure it turns out the way you imagined. Whether you come from Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK or France — or from further afield: I look forward to your call.
